Geto Suguru is a prominent character in the anime series *Jujutsu Kaisen*. Initially introduced as a complex antagonist, his backstory is gradually revealed, showcasing his journey from a dedicated jujutsu sorcerer to a disillusioned and ultimately malevolent figure.

Suguru first appears in the series during the "Gojo's Past" arc. He was once a close friend and classmate of Satoru Gojo at Tokyo Jujutsu High. The two were considered the strongest, often working together on missions and developing a strong bond.

Over time, Suguru becomes increasingly burdened by the immense responsibility and the constant exposure to the suffering of ordinary people and the corruption of Jujutsu society. This disillusionment leads him down a dark path, culminating in his betrayal of Jujutsu High and adoption of a radical ideology aimed at creating a world free of non-sorcerers. His later actions, and his relationship to the series' protagonist, are central to the plot of *Jujutsu Kaisen*.
