Biography:
Hiruko was a puppeteer ninja from Sunagakure (Hidden Sand Village) in the anime Naruto Shippuden. He was not a person in his own right, but rather a puppet created and controlled by the Akatsuki member, Sasori.
Sasori permanently resided within Hiruko, using it as both a suit of armor and a means to conceal his true form, which was largely puppetized. He controlled the puppet using chakra threads.
Hiruko's puppet body was equipped with various weaponry and defensive mechanisms, including a long, extendable scorpion tail coated in poison, and a reinforced back capable of withstanding significant attacks. It also allowed Sasori to alter his voice and appearance.
Hiruko was ultimately destroyed during Sasori's battle against Sakura Haruno and Chiyo. The puppet's destruction forced Sasori to reveal his true puppet form.
