Michael Scott is a fictional character portrayed by Steve Carell in the American television sitcom, The Office (2005-2013), an adaptation of the British series of the same name. He serves as the Regional Manager of the Scranton branch of the Dunder Mifflin paper company for the majority of the show's run.
