Kankuro is a shinobi from Sunagakure, the Hidden Sand Village, in the Naruto series. He is the older brother of Gaara and the younger brother of Temari, forming a sibling trio known for their strength and connection to the Kazekage lineage.

Kankuro is a skilled puppeteer, wielding intricate puppets in battle infused with chakra and capable of various offensive and defensive maneuvers. He often uses poison needles and other hidden weapons within his puppets to surprise his opponents.

Initially, Kankuro displays a stern and sometimes confrontational attitude. However, throughout the series, he evolves into a more supportive and protective figure, particularly towards Gaara as Gaara becomes Kazekage. He demonstrates increasing loyalty to his village and his siblings. His puppets, such as Karasu (Crow), Kuroari (Black Ant), and Sanshōuo (Salamander), become recognizable symbols of his fighting style.

He participates in numerous key battles throughout the series, demonstrating his skill and growing competence as a ninja protecting his village and loved ones.
