Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva, known as Cheetah, is a formidable antagonist in the DC Extended Universe. A brilliant but insecure archaeologist and gemologist, Barbara initially idolized Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman, upon meeting her.
Barbara yearned for Diana's strength, confidence, and beauty. This desire led her to crave power and actively seek out ancient artifacts rumored to grant wishes.
During the events of *Wonder Woman 1984*, Barbara encountered a Dreamstone and inadvertently wished to become like Diana, unknowingly altering her physical form and granting her enhanced abilities. However, the wish came at a cost, slowly corrupting her humanity and transforming her into the apex predator, Cheetah.
As Cheetah, Barbara became fiercely independent and antagonistic, embracing her primal instincts. She possessed superhuman strength, agility, and enhanced senses, making her a dangerous adversary for Wonder Woman.
