Dale is a cartoon character co-created at Walt Disney Productions. He first appeared alongside his twin brother Chip in the 1943 short film "Private Pluto," though they were unnamed at the time. The duo, known as Chip 'n' Dale, are mischievous chipmunks often antagonizing Pluto or Donald Duck in early cartoons.

Dale is typically distinguished from Chip by his larger red nose, two prominent teeth, and a tuft of hair on his head. He also possesses a more carefree and goofy personality compared to Chip's more cautious and planning nature.

Dale gained significant popularity as part of the "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers" animated TV show (1989-1990). In this series, Dale is portrayed as a lover of comic books and video games, bringing a fun-loving and sometimes impulsive energy to the detective team.
