Doctor Who

Handbot is a recurring, albeit minor, character in the BBC science fiction television series, Doctor Who. First appearing in the 2015 two-part story "The Witch's Familiar" and "The Magician's Apprentice", Handbot is a robotic servant of Davros, the creator of the Daleks.

Handbot is essentially a disembodied robotic hand attached to a hovering platform. Its primary function appears to be assisting the aged and physically infirm Davros with various tasks, such as administering medication, adjusting his chair, and generally providing assistance.

The character's design is purposefully simplistic, offering a stark contrast to the advanced technology usually associated with Davros and the Daleks. This simple design serves to highlight Davros' deteriorated physical state and his reliance on even basic forms of assistance.

While Handbot possesses no dialogue or discernible personality, its presence adds a layer of pathos and irony to the character of Davros, reminding viewers of the fragility of the man behind the terrifying Dalek creations.
