Weeping Angel
Brand:
Character Building
Year:
2011
Theme:
Doctor Who
Biography:
The Projected Weeping Angel is a relatively recent variant of the Weeping Angels from the BBC television series Doctor Who. First appearing in the episode "The Angels Take Manhattan" (2012), this iteration is a holographic representation, rather than a physical stone statue.
Unlike their stone counterparts, Projected Angels are two-dimensional images, often displayed on screens or within photographs. While still possessing the ability to "quantum lock" their victims when observed, they can manipulate their environment and move through screens. This provides them a unique advantage in urban settings.
This type of Angel poses a different threat. They can emerge from screens and images, allowing them to effectively hunt their prey in a modern, tech-saturated world. The projected image can be just as deadly as a physical Angel, and the same rule applies: Don't blink.
