Aloy is the protagonist of the Horizon video game series, developed by Guerrilla Games. She first appeared in 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn.

Aloy is a Nora Brave, raised as an outcast by Rost, a fellow outcast, in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by robotic creatures. From a young age, she demonstrates exceptional skill in combat and hunting, driven by a desire to uncover the truth about her origins and the circumstances surrounding her birth.

Possessing a sharp intellect and unwavering determination, Aloy is known for her compassion and commitment to helping others. She uses a device called a Focus, a small piece of technology, to analyze the machines and the environment, giving her a tactical advantage. She is often skeptical of rigid traditions and fights to protect the world from both human and mechanical threats.

Her journey is defined by uncovering the secrets of the Old Ones, the pre-apocalyptic civilization, and ultimately stopping a rogue artificial intelligence from destroying life on Earth. Aloy quickly grows into an iconic and recognizable video game character.
