Boba Fett is a bounty hunter in the Star Wars galaxy, first appearing in *The Star Wars Holiday Special* cartoon in 1978. He gained prominence in *Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back* as one of the bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader to capture the Millennium Falcon.
He's known for his distinctive Mandalorian armor, originally associated with Jango Fett, his "father," who was genetically identical to Boba. Jango served as the template for the Clone Army of the Republic.
Boba seemingly met his end in *Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi* after falling into the Sarlacc pit. However, he survived and his story continues in the Disney+ series, *The Book of Boba Fett*. This series portrays his transition from bounty hunter to Galactic Crime Boss, seeking to establish a new order on Tatooine.
