Ebisu is a Special Jonin-ranked ninja from Konohagakure in the Naruto series. He's primarily known as a private tutor specializing in preparing elite students for the ninja academy. His teaching methods are rigorous and focused on foundational knowledge.

Initially, Ebisu was assigned to train Konohamaru Sarutobi, the grandson of the Third Hokage. He holds strong beliefs about proper shinobi training and initially dismisses Naruto Uzumaki as a disruptive and untalented student. However, he is ultimately humbled and impressed by Naruto's raw potential and determination.

Later in the series, Ebisu becomes one of Naruto's temporary teachers, providing him with intensive training in chakra control to prepare him for more advanced techniques. Although not a prominent combatant, Ebisu is valued for his intelligence, analytical skills, and dedication to shaping the next generation of Konoha shinobi.
