Garindan, often referred to as Garindan Spy, is a character from the Star Wars Original Trilogy.

He first appears in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Garindan is a Kubaz, known for his distinctive long snout and large eyes.

In the film, Garindan is an informant on Tatooine, working in Mos Eisley. He alerts the Imperial stormtroopers to the presence of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi when they arrive in the city with the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO. He communicates with the stormtroopers using a high-pitched, bat-like screech, relaying information about the fugitives.
