Ali is a Pakistani migrant worker in South Korea who enters the Squid Game to win money to support his wife and young child. He is depicted as an honest, kind-hearted, and trusting individual, often risking his own safety to help others.

Prior to joining the game, Ali faced financial hardship and struggled to provide for his family due to unpaid wages from his employer.
