Master Kau (九叔), also known as Uncle Nine, is a prominent character in the Hong Kong film series Mr. Vampire. He first appeared in the 1985 movie of the same name.

Played primarily by Lam Ching-ying, Master Kau is a Taoist priest and skilled exorcist specializing in dealing with hopping vampires (jiangshi) and other supernatural threats. He is a mentor figure, often training his bumbling yet well-meaning disciples in the art of Taoist magic and vampire hunting.

Master Kau's expertise in traditional Chinese folklore, combined with his comedic interactions with his students and the recurring vampire antagonists, make him a memorable and central figure in the Hong Kong horror-comedy genre. He reprised his role in several sequels and similar films, including Vampire vs Vampire (1989), solidifying his iconic status.
