William "Billy" Butcher is a central character in the television series The Boys, based on the comic book of the same name. Portrayed by Karl Urban, Butcher is a gruff, charismatic, and deeply cynical individual with a burning hatred for all superheroes, particularly Homelander.

Butcher's animosity stems from a personal tragedy: the alleged rape and subsequent disappearance of his wife, Becca, at the hands of Homelander. This event fuels his relentless quest to expose and destroy Vought International, the corporation responsible for creating and controlling the "supes."

A former member of the Special Air Service (SAS), Butcher is a highly skilled and resourceful operative.
