3-D Man is a Marvel Comics superhero. He is actually two people: brothers Chuck and Hal Chandler. Hal, an astronaut, was exposed to radiation from a Skrull spacecraft. When Chuck, a test pilot, approaches Hal while focusing intently, the two merge into 3-D Man.

As 3-D Man, they possess enhanced strength, speed, agility, and endurance. Most notably, they have telescopic vision, allowing them to see Skrulls disguised in their environment. This makes 3-D Man a valuable Skrull detection resource.

The character has gone through changes over the years. Originally, Chuck and Hal had to physically touch to merge. Later iterations only required intense focus. The merging process also shifted; in some versions, one brother remains in a dimensional pocket while the other inhabits the 3-D Man form. More recently, Hal, now known as Triathlon, has taken on the 3-D Man abilities through scientific and mystical means.
