David Bryan is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the keyboardist and one of the founding members of the rock band Bon Jovi.
Born David Bryan Rashbaum on February 7, 1962, in Edison, New Jersey, he began playing piano at the age of seven. He studied at the Juilliard School of Music before focusing on rock music.
Bryan co-founded Bon Jovi with Jon Bon Jovi in 1983. He has been a constant presence in the band, contributing his keyboard skills and songwriting talents to their numerous hit albums and singles. Some of the work he is known for are the intros to tracks such as Runaway, and Livin' On A Prayer.
Beyond his work with Bon Jovi, Bryan has released solo albums and has also composed music for theatrical productions, winning a Tony Award for Best Original Score for the musical "Memphis" in 2010.
