Haku is a character from the manga and anime series Naruto. Originally appearing as a young boy, Haku is revealed to be male, although his androgynous appearance often leads to confusion. He is a primary antagonist in the Land of Waves arc, serving Zabuza Momochi as a loyal tool and surrogate family member.

Haku originates from a village in the Land of Water. His mother possessed a Kekkei Genkai, the Ice Release, allowing her to manipulate water into ice. When his father discovered this ability, he killed her out of fear and hatred. Driven to desperation, Haku unconsciously used his ice powers to kill his father and the villagers, leaving him orphaned and alone.

Zabuza found Haku wandering the streets and took him in, recognizing his potential and providing him with purpose. Haku becomes Zabuza's weapon, fiercely loyal and dedicated to protecting him. His fighting style revolves around his Ice Release, using his Ice Mirrors technique for swift attacks and defense.

Ultimately, Haku sacrifices himself to save Zabuza from Kakashi Hatake's Raikiri. His death deeply impacts Naruto Uzumaki, forcing him to confront the complexities of loyalty, purpose, and the nature of shinobi.
