Biography:

Cookie Monster is a Muppet character on the long-running children's television show, Sesame Street. He is best known for his insatiable appetite, especially for cookies.

His first appearance was actually prior to Sesame Street. He appeared in a General Foods commercial in 1967. He then appeared in The Ed Sullivan Show in 1968.

Cookie Monster's defining characteristic is his obsessive love of cookies, often shouting "Me want cookie!" and devouring them with gusto. He is blue and furry, with large googly eyes.
