Hiruzen Sarutobi, also known as the Third Hokage, is a significant character in the anime series *Naruto Shippuden*. He is the leader of Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf Village, and known for his immense power and knowledge.
Hiruzen initially appeared in *Naruto Shippuden* episode 1, "Homecoming". He was the student of the First and Second Hokage, Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, respectively, and later became the teacher of the Legendary Sannin: Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru.
He is widely regarded as one of the strongest Hokage in the history of the village, possessing a vast arsenal of ninjutsu. His reign was marked by a period of relative peace and prosperity, although marred by the ambition of Orochimaru.
