Escanor is a powerful character from the anime series The Seven Deadly Sins. He is known as the Lion's Sin of Pride and is the strongest member of the Sins, though his power fluctuates drastically with the time of day.

At night, Escanor is meek, subservient, and insecure. He possesses minimal strength and is often mocked or overlooked. However, as the sun rises, his power increases exponentially.

At noon, Escanor reaches his peak, becoming an overwhelmingly powerful being. He radiates intense heat and his magical power, Sunshine, allows him to wield incredible strength, speed, and pyrokinesis. During this time, he displays immense pride and confidence, often quoting his own self-proclaimed greatness.

Escanor's magic, Sunshine, is originally part of a higher deity until the deity splits into Escanor and Mael(Estorossa). It is the reason he is capable of being the strongest sin in the day.
