Cletus Delroy Montfort Spuckler, often referred to simply as Cletus, is a recurring character on the animated TV show, The Simpsons. He is a stereotypical hillbilly resident of Springfield.
Cletus is characterized by his extreme poverty, lack of sophistication, and large, often unnamed family of children, many of whom have unusual names. He is frequently seen engaging in outlandish or dangerous activities.
Cletus's first appearance was in the Season 5 episode "Bart Gets an Elephant", although his design became more refined in subsequent episodes. He is voiced by Hank Azaria.
