Metal Sonic V2 is a powerful antagonist appearing in the Sonic the Hedgehog game series. He's the upgraded and more formidable version of Metal Sonic, Dr. Eggman's robotic duplicate of Sonic.

First appearing in Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic V2 demonstrates significantly enhanced abilities compared to his original form. He can copy the abilities and forms of other characters, culminating in his transformation into the monstrous Metal Overlord. This transformation allowed him to mimic the powers of Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix.

Metal Sonic V2's primary objective, like his predecessor, is to prove himself superior to Sonic. However, V2 exhibits a greater level of ambition, seeking to not only defeat Sonic but also to conquer the world. His arrogance and thirst for power ultimately lead to his downfall.

While not as frequently featured as the original Metal Sonic, Metal Sonic V2 remains a memorable villain due to his powerful abilities and his pivotal role in the storyline of Sonic Heroes.
