Purple Crewmate is a playable character from the social deduction game Among Us, developed by Innersloth and first released in June 2018. As one of the twelve available colors for player avatars, Purple is a purely cosmetic choice, offering no inherent gameplay advantages or disadvantages.
Like all Crewmates, Purple's primary objective is to complete tasks scattered around the spaceship, Skeld, or other map locations. If they are not the Impostor, Purple must also try to identify and vote out the Impostor(s) before they are eliminated. If Purple is chosen as the Impostor they must attempt to sabotage the ship and kill off the other Crewmates without being caught.
The Purple Crewmate, like all Crewmates, is depicted as a small, vaguely humanoid figure wearing a spacesuit and a backpack. While visually distinct due to its color, Purple shares the same capabilities and potential roles as any other Crewmate in the game.
