Ray the Flying Squirrel is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise by Sega. He is a yellow flying squirrel known for his gliding abilities.

Ray's first appearance was in the arcade game SegaSonic the Hedgehog in 1993. In this game, Ray and Mighty the Armadillo are rescued by Sonic and must escape a booby-trapped island together.
