Frank Armitage is a fictional character from the 1988 science fiction film *They Live*, directed by John Carpenter.
Portrayed by Keith David, Frank is a construction worker who initially resists John Nada's (Roddy Piper) attempts to show him the truth about the alien control of society. He refuses to wear the special sunglasses that reveal the aliens' true forms and subliminal messages.
Frank's stubbornness stems from his belief in following the rules and avoiding trouble. However, after a prolonged and brutal fight with Nada, Frank is forced to wear the glasses. He then witnesses the horrifying reality of the alien conspiracy, becoming an ally in Nada's fight against them.
