Cal Kestis is a former Jedi Padawan who survived Order 66, the purge of the Jedi Order orchestrated by Emperor Palpatine. Following the traumatic event, he went into hiding, suppressing his connection to the Force and working as a scrapper dismantling decommissioned Republic ships.
His story is featured in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, released in , marking his first appearance in the Star Wars canon. While working as a scrapper on Bracca, Cal is forced to use his Force abilities to save his friend, attracting the attention of the Inquisitorius, a group of Force-sensitive agents tasked with hunting down surviving Jedi.
