Biography:

Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, better known as Rhino, first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #41 (October 1966). He is a supervillain most often associated with Spider-Man.

Initially a common thug, Aleksei underwent an experimental biochemical and radiation treatment that bonded a super-strong polymer hide to his skin. This granted him immense strength, durability, and the appearance of a rhinoceros.

While possessing incredible power, Rhino is often portrayed as dim-witted and easily manipulated, making him a frequent pawn of other, more intelligent villains. He has faced Spider-Man numerous times, often serving as a brute force antagonist. Despite his villainous nature, some stories have explored a more sympathetic side to the character.
