The Hobbit

Ori was a member of Thorin Oakenshield's company of dwarves in the quest to reclaim Erebor from the dragon Smaug in J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit." A younger dwarf, Ori was known for his skill in writing and drawing, often seen with a pen and paper.

He was one of the younger dwarves, alongside his brothers Nori and Dori, and was typically closer to them than the rest of the company. The three brothers were responsible for looking after Bilbo Baggins during parts of the journey, especially Dori, who often carried him.

After the Battle of Five Armies, Ori remained at Erebor as part of the newly re-established dwarven kingdom. However, decades later, he joined Balin's expedition to reclaim Moria. The expedition successfully re-entered Moria, but after a few years, was ultimately destroyed. Ori was one of the last to perish. His skeleton, along with a book recording the dwarves' final struggles, was discovered by the Fellowship of the Ring, providing a tragic account of the colony's demise.
