Biography:
Stripe, also known as "Christmas Stripe" due to the setting of his first appearance, is the main antagonist in the 1984 film Gremlins.
He is a Mogwai, one of a species that must adhere to three crucial rules: avoid bright light, especially sunlight, which can kill them; don't get wet; and never, ever feed them after midnight. Stripe gains his name from the white stripe of fur on his head.
After being fed after midnight, Stripe spawns into a gremlin, transforming into a chaotic, mischievous creature responsible for the widespread havoc that plagues the town of Kingston Falls on Christmas Eve. He is the leader of the other gremlins and possesses a more cunning and malevolent personality than his counterparts.
