B'Elanna Torres is a prominent character in the science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager. Born in 2346 on the Federation colony Kessik IV, Torres is of human and Klingon descent, inheriting a volatile temperament and a strong sense of engineering aptitude from her Klingon mother.
