Kal Skirata was a Mandalorian mercenary who played a pivotal role during the Clone Wars era in the Star Wars universe. Born on Mandalore, he eventually became a trainer of Clone Commandos for the Galactic Republic.

Unlike many trainers, Skirata developed a deep connection with "his" clones, viewing them as his sons. He instilled in them Mandalorian values, traditions, and combat skills, going so far as to adopt them into his clan and give them Mandalorian names. This dedication earned him the unwavering loyalty of many clones.

Skirata was highly critical of the Republic's treatment of the clones and grew increasingly disillusioned with their cause. After Order 66, he dedicated himself to rescuing clones from the Empire and finding them new lives, often on Mandalore or other remote locations. He was a resourceful and skilled warrior, known for his tactical acumen and fierce devotion to his adopted family. He would die of old age in the early days of the New Republic.
