Arthur Everest is a prominent character featured in the independent comic book series, *Quantum and Woody* published by Valiant Comics, and later *Quantum and Woody!* published by Dark Horse Comics.
He is known as Dr. Arthur 'Arms' Everest, an eccentric scientist and robotics expert. Arthur is responsible for creating, and is the legal guardian of, Eric Henderson, the adoptive brother of Woody Van Chelton.
Driven by grief over the death of his brother, Everest is initially depicted as morally ambiguous. He employs ethically questionable means to achieve his goals, blurring the lines between genius inventor and mad scientist. This sometimes puts him at odds with Quantum and Woody, despite his strong desire to protect Eric, and by proxy, Christopher.
His technological prowess and penchant for constructing outlandish gadgets make him a recurring figure in their adventures, often as a source of assistance, but just as often, unintentionally complicating matters, frequently putting all of them in grave danger.
