Biography:
Yondu Udonta is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He is most notable as a founding member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team.

Yondu first appeared in *Marvel Super-Heroes* #18 (January 1969). He is a blue-skinned humanoid native to Centauri IV, a planet outside the Solar System, and is a skilled hunter and tracker.

In the mainstream Marvel Universe (Earth-616), Yondu is known for his unique weaponry: sound-sensitive arrows that he controls through whistling. He is a noble warrior deeply committed to protecting the innocent.

He joins Vance Astro and others to form the Guardians of the Galaxy, a team dedicated to preserving peace in the galaxy during the 31st century.
