Arclight, whose real name is Philippa Sontag, is a Marvel Comics supervillain primarily associated with the Marauders. Prior to her involvement with the Marauders, little is known about Arclight's early life. She was recruited by Mister Sinister to form the team, notorious for their brutal attacks on mutant communities. She played a key role in the Mutant Massacre, a devastating assault on the Morlocks living in the tunnels beneath New York City.

Arclight is often depicted as fiercely loyal to her teammates, particularly Riptide. Over the years, she has faced various X-Men teams and other heroes.
