Scooby-Doo

Daphne Blake is a fictional character in the long-running Hanna-Barbera animated cartoon series, *Scooby-Doo*. She is known as the danger-prone member of Mystery Incorporated, the group of teenage detectives that includes Fred Jones, Velma Dinkley, Shaggy Rogers, and Scooby-Doo.

Daphne first appeared in *Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!*, which premiered in 1969. Her signature color is purple and she's often depicted wearing a purple dress, pink tights, and purple shoes. Throughout the various iterations of the Scooby-Doo cartoons, Daphne's role has varied, from being the constant damsel in distress to becoming a more capable and self-sufficient member of the team.

In the original Hanna-Barbera cartoons, Daphne often fell into traps or was captured by the villains, leading to her nickname "Danger-Prone Daphne." However, later versions, especially in the more recent cartoons, showed her developing better self-defense skills and becoming a more active participant in solving mysteries.
