Ezra Bridger is a fictional character in the animated TV show Star Wars Rebels. He first appears in the series premiere, "Spark of Rebellion," in 2014.
Born on the planet Lothal on Empire Day, Ezra was orphaned at a young age when his parents were taken by the Empire for speaking out against their rule. He grew up as a street urchin, honing his skills as a thief and developing a strong connection to the Force, unknowingly.
Ezra's life changes when he encounters the crew of the Ghost, a rebel cell led by Kanan Jarrus. Kanan, a Jedi Knight who survived Order 66, takes Ezra as his Padawan, training him in the ways of the Force and lightsaber combat.
Over the course of Rebels, Ezra matures from a naive and impulsive youth into a skilled Jedi and a key figure in the growing rebellion against the Galactic Empire. He demonstrates exceptional Force abilities, including the ability to connect with animals, and ultimately plays a vital role in the liberation of Lothal.
