Star Wars

The Knights of Ren were a shadowy group of dark side users, led by Kylo Ren, that existed in the Star Wars galaxy after the fall of the Galactic Empire and before the rise of the First Order. Prior to Kylo Ren leading the Knights of Ren, Ren was the master. The master of the Knights of Ren title was more of a position of prestige than a power title. Ren was the original master and a wielder of the dark side of the Force, though the group itself was not necessarily composed of Force-sensitives.

Their origins are largely shrouded in mystery. They were known for their brutal tactics and allegiance to the dark side, though their relationship with the Sith and other established dark side organizations is ambiguous. Little is known about the members beyond Kylo Ren, who seized leadership of the group after betraying Luke Skywalker's Jedi training academy. The Knights of Ren followed Kylo Ren until his final turn to the light.

They appeared in *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* and played a more significant role in *Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker*. In the Rise of Skywalker the Knights of Ren follow Kylo Ren to Exegol, and fight him once he turns back to the light. After a quick and brutal fight, all of the Knights of Ren are defeated by Ben Solo and fall into the abyss below.
