Eli Bradley, known as Patriot, is a character from Marvel Comics, first appearing in Young Avengers #1 (2005). He is the grandson of Isaiah Bradley, an African American Super-Soldier who was part of a secret government experiment predating Captain America.
Initially, Eli claimed to have received powers through a blood transfusion from his grandfather. However, it was later revealed that he was actually using Mutant Growth Hormone (MGH) to mimic super-soldier abilities. His powers included enhanced strength, speed, and agility.
Eli eventually received a blood transfusion from his grandfather, granting him genuine super-soldier abilities. He served as a member of the Young Avengers, often acting as their moral compass and strategist.
