Translucent is a character appearing in the Amazon Prime Video television series, The Boys. He is a member of The Seven, a group of elite superheroes owned and managed by Vought International.
His primary superpower is the ability to turn invisible by hardening his carbon-metamorphic skin to deflect light. This process, however, leaves him entirely naked while invisible. Translucent's powers also make him bulletproof, except for vulnerabilities in his orifices.
In the series, Translucent is portrayed as arrogant, perverted, and self-serving. He is secretly involved in criminal activities, exploiting his invisibility for voyeurism and other illicit purposes. His actions ultimately lead to his capture and eventual demise at the hands of Hughie Campbell and Billy Butcher, who detonate a bomb inside him.
