Boltie is a character from the 2010 film Super, portrayed by Rainn Wilson.
Frank D'Arbo (Boltie) is an ordinary man who decides to become a superhero after his wife, Sarah, leaves him for a drug dealer named Jacques. Inspired by a Christian superhero show called "The Holy Avenger," Frank creates his own superhero persona, "The Crimson Bolt."
He equips himself with a wrench and sets out to fight crime in his neighborhood. Initially, he partners with Libby (played by Ellen Page), a comic book store employee who becomes his sidekick, "Boltie." Boltie is depicted as hyperactive and enjoys the violent aspects of crime-fighting more than the Crimson Bolt does.
