Natalia "Natasha" Alianovna Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, is a highly skilled spy, assassin, and martial artist in the Marvel Universe. Her origins trace back to the Red Room Academy in Russia, a clandestine program that subjected her to rigorous training and biochemical enhancements, significantly extending her lifespan and granting her peak human abilities.

Initially an antagonist, working for the Soviet Union, Natasha eventually defected to the United States. She became a valued agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., where she formed a close professional relationship with Clint Barton (Hawkeye), who played a significant role in her defection.

Black Widow's expertise in espionage and combat made her a crucial member of the Avengers.
