Eitri, portrayed by Peter Dinklage, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is a dwarf and the King of Nidavellir, a realm known for its master blacksmiths and the creation of powerful weapons.
Once commissioned by Thanos, Eitri and his people forged the Infinity Gauntlet. After Thanos seized the Gauntlet, he murdered all the dwarves except Eitri, crippling his hands to prevent him from creating weapons again.
Eitri's first appearance in the MCU is in Avengers: Infinity War (2018). In the movie, Thor travels to Nidavellir with Rocket and Groot and convinces Eitri to forge a new weapon, Stormbreaker, to defeat Thanos.
