The Destroyer is a powerful magical construct from Marvel Comics, first appearing in Thor #148 (1968).
Created by Odin to combat a specific threat from beyond the stars, the Destroyer armor is virtually indestructible and imbued with immense strength and energy projection capabilities. The armor is normally uninhabited and inert.
To become active, the Destroyer requires a host consciousness. This can be a god like Loki or Thor, or even a mortal. Once inhabited, the Destroyer acts according to the will of its controller, making it a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands.
