Biography:
John Nada is the protagonist of the 1988 science fiction horror film, They Live, directed by John Carpenter.
Nada, played by Roddy Piper, is a drifter and construction worker who arrives in Los Angeles seeking employment. He is disillusioned and frustrated with the economic inequalities he observes.
Nada discovers a box containing sunglasses that, when worn, reveal the world as it truly is: controlled by subliminal messages and disguised alien overlords manipulating humanity for their own purposes.
Armed with this knowledge, Nada becomes a reluctant hero, fighting against the aliens to awaken humanity to the truth and break their control.
