Savitar, a villain in The CW's The Flash TV show (part of the Arrowverse), is a time remnant of Barry Allen (The Flash) created after a battle with Savitar himself.
Trapped in the Speed Force after being shunned and deemed an aberration, this remnant became obsessed with achieving godhood to escape his suffering. He adopted the name Savitar, after the Hindu god of motion.
Driven by a desire for revenge against the Flash and his team for creating him and then abandoning him, Savitar manipulates events to ensure his own creation and the death of Iris West, which would cement his path to becoming a god. He first appeared in the third season of The Flash.
