Biography:
Davos Seaworth, portrayed by Liam Cunningham, first appears in the second season of the TV show *Game of Thrones*. He is a former smuggler who rose to prominence as a trusted advisor to Stannis Baratheon.
Davos earned the moniker "The Onion Knight" after smuggling onions into besieged Storm's End during Robert's Rebellion, saving Stannis and his men from starvation. As a reward, Stannis knighted him but also personally shortened four fingers of Davos's left hand as punishment for his past crimes.
Loyal and pragmatic, Davos served Stannis with unwavering devotion, even when disagreeing with his strategies and the influence of Melisandre. Following Stannis's death, Davos swore fealty to Jon Snow and became one of his closest counselors.
Known for his common sense and moral compass, Davos consistently advocates for justice and the well-being of the common people. He is also a skilled diplomat and negotiator. After Jon Snow's exile, he serves Daenerys Targaryen, then is later appointed to the small council by King Bran Stark.
