Barbara "Barb" Holland is a fictional character from the Netflix science fiction horror series, Stranger Things. Played by Shannon Purser, Barb is introduced in the show's first season as Nancy Wheeler's intelligent and pragmatic best friend.
A devoted and somewhat introverted teenager, Barb often acts as Nancy's voice of reason, expressing concern over Nancy's burgeoning relationship with Steve Harrington and the potential risks involved. She is portrayed as conscientious and loyal, sometimes to a fault.
