Biography:

Yosemite Sam is a Looney Tunes cartoon character known for his explosive temper and Western outlaw persona. He is a diminutive, mustachioed gunslinger, fiercely proud and easily provoked.

Frequently an antagonist to Bugs Bunny, Sam's bluster and attempts to assert dominance are often comically foiled by the wily rabbit. Despite his aggressive nature and pronouncements, he is ultimately incompetent and prone to self-inflicted mishaps.

Yosemite Sam's first appearance was in the Looney Tunes cartoon "Hare Trigger" in 1945. He was created by Friz Freleng.
