Cliff Steele, better known as Robotman, is a founding member of the Doom Patrol. He first appeared in *My Greatest Adventure* #80 (June 1963).
Before becoming Robotman, Cliff Steele was a race car driver. A devastating accident destroyed his body. Professor Niles Caulder, also known as The Chief, transplanted Cliff's brain into a robotic body.
As Robotman, Cliff possesses superhuman strength, speed, and durability. He is virtually indestructible. Despite his powerful form, Cliff struggles with the loss of his humanity and the emotional toll of his transformation.
